Schizophragma Hydrangeoides Roseum. A Japanese climbing hydrangea vine with lush dark green serrated foliage and soft pink/red lace cap flowers 20cm across in clusters in mid-summer. 'Roseum' is a vigorous woody climber with broadly ovate or heart-shaped leaves and flattened clusters of small creamy-white flowers surrounded by showy ovate, white bracts which age to rosy pink. Will grow anywhere from 6 to 12 metres. Requires plenty of space, best grown against a large tree or wall - the plant attaches itself by aerial roots. Soil should be moist but well-drained with plenty of organic matter added. Requires part shade.
