Gentiana Angustifolia. The stemless gentian, a dwarf mat forming alpine perennial that typically grows to 15cm tall. Small narrow green leaves create the carpet and then in spring large blue trumpet flowers form above the leaves. If you are lucky they will flower again in autumn too! Full sun to part shade. Great in rockeries.
