Primula Rosea Gigas. Also known as Himalayan Meadow Primrose. An early-blooming species, this grows best at the waterside or a similar position with rich and heavy moist to wet soil. Loose clusters or umbels of bright magenta-pink blooms are held on stems above a rosette of newly expanding leaves. A good candidate for a special bog garden. This is not likely to grow well in average border conditions. Clumps may be divided after flowering, if desired. Deciduous in winter. Part shade. 20cm high x 30cm wide.
