Crataegus Phaenopyrum PICK UP ONLY. This American native is a small deciduous tree or large shrub to 10m. Thorny branches are covered in small elm like green leaves in spring and then develop small fragrant white flower clusters in late spring. The leaves turn golden colours in autumn and the flowers produce red berries that hold on to throughout winter. Can be useful as a hedging plant. Full sun to part shade. Washington hawthorn.
